‘The Artist’s Landscape’ Exhibition

THE MOREE GALLERY is presenting a group exhibition ‘The Artist’s Landscape’

I am honoured to be part of this group exhibition at The Moree Gallery with three other significant landscape artists, Rebecca Rath, Alexandra Plim and Amanda Holman.

“The Artist Landscape” is a collection of work from my Summer camping trip to Korogoro Creek on the mid north coast. This is one of my favourite places to paint because of the dramatic change in the landscape with the tides. At low tide, the remaining water looks tea stained with sediment, the light reflecting on the estuary is a shimmering blue/grey with exposed mangrove roots creating a graphic punctuation to the sandbars. At high tide the creek banks resemble a tropical island, flowing with aqua/ green water where the bush along the creek becomes lush and vibrant. Three of my works capture the landscape at low tide and three capture this stunning, constantly changing landscape at high tide.

EXHIBITION OPENS 10:00AM Friday 31st March 2023
