Artists from all over Australia have the chance to win a rent-free solo exhibition with The Corner Store Gallery in 2022.

I submitted 3 artworks as a preview of a solo show and I’m thrilled to be one of the 35 finalists to be selected from 159 entries. This exhibition will display the finalists and winners will be announced on Saturday 18th September.

Artist Statement:
This mini series was inspired from Ann’s travels along the coast of northern NSW. Exploring the clifftops beside the ocean, she recorded the energy and contrast of the unique windswept environment, where ghosts of old banksia trees hover over the understory of shrubs and grasses. Ann uses her own language of mark making in a layering process of paint and drawing with natural handmade tools to create the “remembered feeling” of the landscape.
